Patch 1 (v0.12.11) Changelog


Thanks to all those who provided feedback and reported bugs, it helped us find (and then fix) so many more bugs than we thought! 


New

  • 5 new Relics
  • 4 new Stats (Piercing, Enemy Speed, Healing, Tickspeed)
  • Spawn biome (a field of flowers)
  • Procedural post-nightmare difficulties (who can get to Nightmare 69?!)
  • Sounds to all abilities
  • Sounds to most events (level ups, death, etc.)


Changes and Balancing

  • savegames are now saved slightly different THIS BREAKS OLD SAVES
  • enemies do not drop crystals anymore for now (find crystal rocks!)
  • crystal rocks spawn way more frequently and contain way more crystals
  • armor is now flat damage reduction (damage received cannot go below 1)
  • tweaked most relic effects
  • tweaked ability stats
  • improved contrast with some menues
  • removed abilite size scaling (they were getting a little too big)
  • enemy difficulty scaling is now exponential, but slower early on
  • tweaked player experience scaling (see the post above)
  • tweaked enemy spawning
  • changed enemy sounds and their volume
  • changed sounds to be 3D now, increasing immersion
  • changed ambience sound
  • difficulty meter stages have 5 pips each now (except the first two)
  • increased the threshold for dithering, making it easier to see through trees
  • decreased glow on experience orbs
  • "+X% Cooldown reduction" is now  "-X% Cooldowns" for clarity
  • depleted resources can now not be mined again when unloading them
  • upgrade notice can now be clicked to open the upgrade window
  • close buttons are now present in most windows
  • Scene transitions are faster now

Bugfixes

  • fixed Orbital Stars distance from player being changed by ability size
  • fixed big number overflow and displaying in Engineering notation
  • fixed distance traveled stat not correctly tracking
  • fixed spawn area sometimes containing trees obstructing view
  • fixed upgrade overlay not closing when dying (It's over, stop selecting stuff!)
  • fixed base damage in skill tree not working
  • fixed crystal rock hitboxes persisting after destruction, obstructing projectiles
  • fixed level points not updating when the upgrade dialog is open
  • fixed exploding enemy not rolling when spawning too small
  • fixed rock hail not scaling with ability duration correctly
  • fixed rock hail wrongfully scaling with projectile speed
  • fixed rock hail hitboxes lingering after impact
  • fixed cooldown reduction from relics actually increasing cooldown timer (WTF?)
  • fixed savegames not correctly being created, overwriting the same savegame over and over (SORRY)
  • fixed save state not properly reseting when returning to menu
  • fixed relic/ability effect texts overflowing
  • fixed difficulty meter being interactible
